Commssions
Custom portraits created on a commission basis. I specialise in highly detailed, realistic style drawings; from household pets to wildlife. Each commission is created with the same care and attention as my personal studio work.
Creating commissioned artwork is one of the most meaningful parts of my practice.
Many collectors come to me with an idea connected to a personal memory: a beloved pet, a place that holds significance, or a subject that reflects their connection to nature.
My role is to translate that story into an artwork with attention to atmosphere, detail and composition.
Every commission is created in close dialogue so the final work reflects both the subject and the feeling behind it.
Commissions may include:
Step 1: Discuss your ideas
Reach out to discuss your ideas and inspiration.
We will talk about the subject, size and medium so the artwork fits your vision and space.
Step 2: Reference photos
High-quality reference photos are essential for creating an accurate and expressive drawing.
Natural lighting works best. If you’re unsure whether your images are suitable, you can send them for feedback.
Step 3: Sketch phase
Once we have agreed on the concept and reference material, I create the first sketch.
You will have the opportunity to review the composition and suggest adjustments before the final work begins.
Step 4: Creation
After the sketch is approved, the final artwork is created in the studio using professional materials such as graphite or oil.
You will receive occasional progress updates during this phase.
Step 5: Delivery
Each artwork comes with:
